Dairy gods, Lewis Road Creamery, have come up with the goods again – chocolate butter. In what they’ve described as a world first, this devilish concoction will make you wonder just where this has been all your life – and why the French, home of pain au chocolat, hadn’t thought of it first.
Created with New Zealand’s finest chocolate – Whittakers. This butter is whipped with 72% Dark Ghana chocolate. It has NO palm oil and contains a third less sugar than jams and Nutella. It’s not sickly sweet, which is great when you want to devour it on something as good as a paco.
This is a super simple brekkie to make that looks impressive. Serve it for friends on a lazy sunday when you can linger over coffee and chat away the morning.
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- butter to cook with
- Lewis Road Creamery chocolate butter
- fresh strawberries, sliced
Combine in a blender and blitz until the mixture is smooth.
Heat a fry pan with large knob of butter, once to temperature pour a small plate size of pancake mixture into the pan. Wait until the mixture is cooked on edges and the insides start bubbling (basically just cook a small pancake). Flip. Repeat.
Serve with Lewis Road Creamery choclate butter and freshly chopped strawberries.
