My in-laws used to have a large lifestyle block with an orchard. Every Christmas we’d look forward to the plums. One year the tree got desiccated by some cheeky peacocks who took a liking to this delicious stone fruit.
The plum season never feels long enough, this fruit is a yummy combination of sweet & sour, depending on which variety you get. Switch out the berries in your next smoothie and try this (when will someone sell bags of frozen plums?).
- 3-5 plums, sliced with skin on and stone removed
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 sprinkle of cinnamon
Put all ingredients in the blender and blitz. Enjoy!
